Robert Lee Mohn—Government

Mohn enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1949 and was assigned to Fort Jackson, S.C, for basic training. He served in the Signal Corps, as a cryptographic officer (1949–1969). He then served in various CONUS assignments as a communications center officer, crypto officer, and motor pool officer. He was assigned as the OIC for WAR Communications Center, at Orleans, France, and at other locations. Mohn served in Korea, France, Germany, Panama, Japan, and Vietnam. He was an enlisted man until 1959 and, at the same time, served as a second lieutenant in the reserves. He retired in 1969 as a chief warrant officer, grade 3. At NETL, Mohn works in the Acquisition & Assistance Division.
