Cyndie Miller – Government

Cyndie Miller – Government Miller served in the U.S. Navy/Personnelman, 1980-1991. After boot camp and Personnelman A School in NAS Meridian MS, Miller was stationed in NAS Moffett Field, Calif., where she maintained records of several reserve units and active duty personnel and was trained as the command Legal Administrative Liaison in conjunction with the base JAG Office. She was transferred to Naval Air Facility Lajes, Azores, Portugal, where she continued service as the station legal administrative support and was assigned to be detachment supply clerk and travel coordinator. She also worked closely with the U.S. and Portuguese Air Force and the U.S. Consulate office on the island. Her next assignment was at the Naval Ordnance Base, Indian Head, Md. as a supervisor. While there she worked with EOD staff/instructors and students from all branches of the military. She also worked with NSCT (Red Cell) Seal Team in its early days. Her last assignment was on board the USS Hunley (AS 31) homeport-Norfolk, Va., where she served as the supervisor of the education and training office and on the ship’s firefighting team. During her tour aboard the Hunley, the first night of the Gulf War began the night she stood watch. Miller has been with NETL since August 2014 and currently works in the Research & Innovation Center supporting the Materials Engineering & Manufacturing Directorate
