The National Methane Hydrates R&D Program
Methane Hydrate Library
The Methane Hydrate Library was created to provide a repository for information collected from projects funded as part of the National Methane Hydrate R&D Program. As output from the projects is received, it will be reviewed and then placed into the library to be available to other methane hydrate researchers. In some cases rather than provide the information directly through the library, links to the information will be provided.
"Fire in the Ice" is a newsletter published quarterly that provides information about the latest developments in methane hydrate research and development. The newsletter also contains the feature "Spotlight on Research" which recognizes methane hydrate researchers.
The "Project Reports Bibliography" lists publications resulting from DOE/NETL sponsored methane hydrate R&D projects.
The "Photo Gallery" provides pictures from five research locations, including the Gulf of Mexico, Blake Ridge, and the Mallik well in the MacKenzie Delta.
The "Hydrate Researchers" page was initiated from the list of attendees at the 2003 DOE/JIP Hydrate Conference. More researchers have been added by request over the past several years.
The "DOE/NETL Projects" pages contain detailed information on methane hydrate projects funded through the National Energy Technology Laboratory. The list of projects includes completed projects as well as those that are presently active.
