The 2010 Carbon Sequestration Atlas of the United States and Canada – Third Edition (Atlas III) contains updated information related to DOE’s Carbon Sequestration Program and refined carbon dioxide (CO₂) geologic storage resource estimates for saline formations, oil and gas reservoirs, and unmineable coal areas based upon a new calculation methodology to better reflect uncertainties in geologic formation properties.
