Welcome to the Strategic Center for Coal Project Portfolio Web Map assembled by NETL. The web map includes projects across all Coal & Power Systems technologies including Advanced Energy Systems, Carbon Capture, Carbon Storage, Cross-Cutting Research, Futuregen 2.0, Industrial Carbon Capture and Storage (ICCS), Clean Coal Power Initiative (CCPI), Geologic Sequestration Training and Research (GSTR), Geologic Sequestration Site Characterization (GSSC), and ICCS (Research). This active web map is updated frequently and provided for informational purposes only.

The NETL Strategic Center for Coal Project Portfolio Web Map requires Microsoft Silverlight, a free downloadable browser plug-in. What You Can Do With the Map

Additional Map Navigation Tips

  • Pan the map by holding the left mouse button and dragging or use the Pan tab at the bottom left of the map. Zoom in and out on the map by using the mouse scroll wheel or the Zoom tab at the bottom left of the map.
  • Clicking a tab on its name expands it. Clicking an expanded tab on its name retracts it.
  • Change base maps and turn off projects categorized by Technology Area, within the legend, to decrease or increase displayed information and specific project visibility.
Troubleshooting Tips
  • Receiving a "Cluster not initiated" pop-up box when accessing the web map.
    In Internet Explorer: Click on Tools/Internet Options/Browsing History Settings/Select Every time I visit the webpage/Click Ok to accept changes. Exit IE then re-open and navigate to the Strategic Center for Coal Project Portfolio Web Map. In all other browsers, empty your cache and reload the page.
